It was great to attend and cover photography at the Labour Party Diwali 2014 function.
It was held at the Conrad London St. James in London earlier this week. Over 300 guests filled the reception room to celebrate the Hindu festival of Diwali with a number of past, present and future Labour politicians. These included Chuka Umunna, Sadiq Khan, Barry Gardiner and Seema Malhotra to name a few.
Guests enjoyed canapes and drinks and had an opportunity to network and listen to some classical music from a live group.
Ed Miliband, Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the Opposition attended took part in the celebrations and joined children from the Avanti School to light the lamps to open proceedings. He then gave a speech highlighting his joy in celebrating this vibrant festival with such a huge number of Indian diaspora on the evening.
The event was managed by India Inc. and many other companies contributed to make the event a success.
