Aimed at raising funds for the trust and launching cricketer Azhar Mahmood’s cricket academy, the event took place at The London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.
The event was graced by several high-profile cricketers, including Wasim Akram, Alec Stuart, Mohammad Yousuf, Robert Key, Saqlain Mushtaq, India cricket captain MS Dhoni and Virat Kholi.
The evening began with a welcome address from England women’s cricketer Isa Gua, followed by Azhar Mahmood, who spoke about his cricketing career.
There was a panel discussion with other cricketing legends on the main stage who ran through the current state of the game and how it has evolved over the years.
Towards the end of the evening, Azhar spoke about the need to promote mental health in South Asia.
The British Asian Trust is partnering to ensure that funds reach those in need and promote awareness of mental health issues in the region.
The evening featured both a silent and live auction, with the live auction raising over £18,000.
